Evergreen Enterprises names Randy Egan as Vice President of Sales, John Toler as Chief Operating Officer
RICHMOND, VA, Dec. 14, 2010 –
Evergreen Enterprises, Inc. continues to grow and with further expansion in mind, the Company is investing for the future. “A longer term approach to planning is one of the keys to our continued success,” said Frank Qiu, Evergreen's Chief Executive Officer. “Over the last sixty days we have evaluated and targeted specific investments on the human resources front, which should lead to a more promising future. We see Randy Egan's addition and John Toler's new role as a major part of that.”
On November 29th, Randy Egan joined Evergreen as Vice President of Sales managing the field sales team. In this position, he will run the Company's direct sales force.
Mr. Egan most recently held the position of Executive Vice President of Sales at Russ Berrie U.S. Gift, Inc., after serving as Vice President of Sales with The Encore Group. Extensively involved in The Encore Group's 2008 acquisition of Russ Berrie, Inc., Mr. Egan subsequently led the sales team of the newly formed Russ Berrie US Gift, Inc., one of the largest sales teams in the gift and home décor industry. He has over twenty years of successful national sales, marketing, and management experience in gift, garden, and home products, including decorative flags and sports licensing, among others.
Mr. Egan has “extensive experience both at the field level and management level in our industry,” said Qiu. “We are very happy to welcome him to the Evergreen Sales Management Team.”
With Mr. Egan's addition to the Company, John Toler, the former Vice President of Sales, has been named Chief Operating Officer, where he will focus his efforts on managing the Company's domestic and international operations, as well as play a greater role in overseeing Evergreen's merger and acquisition efforts, among other responsibilities.
“In the last five years, Mr. Toler has delivered one of the best sales teams in the gift and home décor industry,” continued Qiu. “Ever since he joined the Company, John has brought his enthusiasm, intellect, and passion for excellence to Evergreen.”
Mr. Toler's increasing focus on acquisition efforts and Mr. Egan's relevant transaction experience reinforce Evergreen's commitment to drive profitable growth through acquisitions. Identified earlier this year as playing a fundamental part in the Company's continued success, evaluating new acquisition opportunities remains a core focus of Evergreen's long-term strategy. Mr. Egan and Mr. Toler will both work closely with Evergreen Business Development Manager and former investment banker Chris Wornom who was hired earlier this year to refine and facilitate the Company's acquisition strategy.
Mr. Egan and Mr. Toler take on their new positions at Evergreen at the end of the Company's seventeenth year. They both work out of the corporate headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.
